If You Are Unfit, Start Here
This page will contain info for folks who are starting out, or have a medical condition like diabetes which they need to consider. The Crossfit System scales well, so you start out gently without too much stress or strain.
The first thing we do is assess your current level of fitness, your physiology (ie how well you move and to what extent), blood pressure, muscle imbalances etc.
Did you know that most aches and pains in your muscular skeletal system are not pathalogical in nature, but the result of compensation patterns caused by weak muscles.
When training starts, everyone begins at the beginning no matter how fit they think they are. We train you in how to do the moves and exercises correctly, so you don’t get injured.
The weight bearing exercises were designed so that the most number of muscles are recruited at once. Proper form makes sure you get this benefit.
Safety of our clients is the first principle we adhere to.
Once we are convinced you can do something safely and with good form, we start to add weight, reps and speed. Whenever you complete a workout, the next day or two should provide you with a little muscular soreness. This is normal.
If your joints hurt, or your muscles are so sore they prevent normal activity, this is not normal, and we try to avoid it.
As you get fitter we introduce the more intense Crossfit exercise combinations.
You move up to the next levels.
The best way to start is to download our free report which exposes some of the exercise myths. Get the complimentary assessment consultation, where we also do the first exercise session.
There isn’t any obligation, and it will give you a chance to enjoy our service and see if it’s a good fit for you.
